    Default 2010 season

    Hey everyone,

First I would like to thank everyone for their help and support.
As we all know the 2010 boating season if here and it is going to be a great one.

If you or anyone you know is not already a Vessel Assist/BOATUS member I STRONGLY recommend that you get signed up and get on board. Every year we save people hundreds and in some cases thousands of dollars as a result of them being a member in our program.

For $58 PER YEAR you get to enjoy peace of mind with UNLIMITED FREE towing, FREE gas deliveries, FREE jump starts and FREE soft ungroundings. This applies to ANY body of freshwater in the country that has towing capabilities. The only out of pocket expense you would have would be for fuel/oil if you needed it. There is NO deductable.

    Example 1:
Daytime service rates run upwards of $200 per hour, nighttime rates run upwards of $250 per hour both with a one hour minimum. Ungrounding charges often run upwards of $500. $58 PER YEAR seems like a good choice. The average service call is about 4-6 years dues.
    Example 2:
If you are a member and you break down on Lake Mead
(no vessel assist operation), you would call the 800# for Vessel Assist, they would contact the marina to assist you and if that tower does not bill Vessel Assist directly you will be reimbursed for the charges. You could even contact the marina directly if that is more convenient. Hours of operation may vary at locations where there is NOT a
    Vessel Assist/BOATUS operation.

At locations where there is a Vessel Assist/BOATUS operation, service is 24/7 all you have to do is sign the paperwork when the captain arrives and you are finished, there is NO deductable AND, member calls have priority over non member calls.

Also, one membership covers multiple watercraft you own (pretty good deal)!!!!!!
Example: oneboat and two skis'. Two boats, two boats and one ski. etc....

    Az. Vessel Assist locations
    > Lake Pleasant
    > Lake Havasu
    > Needles
    > Lake Mohave

DO NOT wait until you break down to purchase a membership!!!!! your membership goes into effect 11:59pm whichever day you sign up.

If you are a current member with a $50 or $150 card I STRONGLY recommend that you upgrade to UNLIMITED for only a few more dollars.

Although it is not a covered service, we do salvage and recovery also.

If you have any questions or would like to sign up please allow me to assist you.

    Capt. Ross Baker

Thank you and have a happy and safe boating season.

If I join, am I covered or is the boat covered? If I have two boats and join, do I have the same coverage regardless of which boat im in? Or do I have to get coverage for each boat?

Thanks for your reply. one mebership covers multiple watercraft/boats that you may own. A membership also covers any boat you own, borrow or charter. Example 1: your boat breaks down or is in the shop etc....and you call a friend to borrow his boat, you are covered provided he is not on the boat. Example 2: you don't feel like using your boat one day, a friend has a couple of PWC's, you and your girl take them out, one breaks down, you are covered.
I believe this answers your questions however, if not please call as it may be easier to answer your questions over the phone.

Yuma river tours has done towing for us in the past so you would be covered. Also, if you run aground down there because I know it's nasty, he does that work too.
If you wouldn't mind calling me when you have time I would appreciate it.

    Thanks
