    Default San Diego area lakes

Hello everyone, I live in San Diego and one of the two lakes we can boat/ski on closed last year. What lakes do you guys go to with in an hour and a half or so from San Diego that you can boat, ski, camp etc.?

Good Luck, you can try Perris or Elsinore, both are pretty gross, other then those the closest is the river.

You can try El Capitan in Lakeside. You can either take the 8 freeway or the 67 freeway. I go there all the time, the rangers there are cool as long as you act cool and dont do anything stupid. The ramp isnt too bad either the only problem is that there isnt to many beach spots to set up camp. Other then that it does the job for a day on the water.

Well aware of El Cap, it's a far second place to San Vicente in my book. but that is where you will find me most of the time with San V closed. I'm just looking for a new lake to try out this year. Sounds like there aren't many good options.
