Thumbs up Maybe a So. Cal Boat Club?

A friend and I got together this weekend at the river and tossed around an idea of starting the "Classic Glass Boat Club" basically a club with members that would have boats from 15 to 20yrs or more old like, Kona, Rodgers, Hawian, Hallet ETC. We could do all the stuff car or motorcycle clubs do except in the water. So I figured I would set it out there and see what y'all thought. I am in Long Beach so we were thinking that somewhere in the general area would be a good place to start...oh and the places we generally hit are Mojave, Laughlin, Needles, Parker, Hava-brew...or even Elsinore from time to time.

What do you think? Anybody think this would be worth the time?

I'm new to boating....so any So CAL Fresh Water Boating Club would be a good idea.

I belong to many jeep clubs such as San Diego 4 Wheelers, North County Crawlers and Geared 4 Fun....and clubs like these are really good for newbies getting into the sport.
