Default Laughlin - where to stay?

Considering a trip to Laughlin with friends. Each family has a boat. Which hotel/resort is best if we are planning on spending as much time as possible on the water and we will have 7 kids total.

Been to Parker and Havasu, but never to Laughlin.

If you are boating on the river I would probably stay at Harrahs. If planning on Lake Mohave boating you can stay at the hotel at Katherines Landing. Rooms aren't the best there but you can get a slip and walk from your boat to your room. Grass areas outside the rooms for BBQ, playing for the kids and so forth. Small rest with edible food but far from anything special. There is a bar there also.

The adults can head into Laughlin for some adult fun at night.....

the riverside has a crap load of things to keep the kids busy
    movie theater, bowling alley ect.
when we do that trip we slip the boats at katherines landing
so we dont have to deal with launching and pulling out everyday

If I had 7 kids to watch, I would not bring them into a casino.

Casinos are not kid friendly, although many casinos try to make them appear friendly.

    True......

The Riverside has a nice Bowling alley, movie theater, acrade etc.. Setup for a more of a family senario. (if there could be one at a casino resort).

IMO, Harrah's has really gone down hill. The last two times we stayed there we wern't given the room that we reserved, they never honor the rooms that you book and give you a lame ass story why they gave them away. But, Harrah's has nice, secured boat parking across the street with guards 24/7.
