    Default Pleasent?

In Sept I have to go out to PHX for Business and I figured I'd drag the boat along. Guys in PHX were telling me they boat at pleasent. Any insights to pleasent? Boat is an 18ft jet, OT headers. Anything else around around the PHX area? Will be staying at a company house near the airport.

    Thanks.

Pleasant is cool. It can get pretty windy at times tho. you should be alright. Early morning or late afternoon is when I go. If your staying at the airport, (Phx?) you could hit up Saguaro. its smaller but will do.

You are much better off going to Saguaro. Pleasant can get windy in the afternoon and rough. The Sag is more closed in for Jets and much prettier lake in all plus way closer

imo pleasant sucks. i live 15 minutes from it and can't even remember the last time i boated there. with your type of boat, i would go on a weekday. it would be much more enjoyable(and that goes for any of the lakes). just keep an eye on the sky. it can get nastly there really quick in the afternoon.

honestly your better off stopping to boat in blythe on your way

If you are planing on weekdays Pleasant is ok.Weekends suck.Use the Castle creek ramp.If you plan to ski, the mornings and evenings are your best bet but do not expect glass.
Bartlett is your best option even with a little more drive time.Use the ramp next to JB cove.If you go to Bartlett you should be able to find glass unless the Roll Bars are there and then you will just have to look harder. What ever you do stay till you have to use your lights to get back to the ramp. The last hour of light is worth the price of towing your boat over here.
The reason Bartlett is the place is because it takes longer to get to.
Sag. was good in the 70s.

Well, to be honest, Apache at 6:00 AM during the week is the best. It's a long way from Sky Harbor though. I miss Apache. Back in the late 80s early 90s I loved Bartlett, but I lived in Tucson at the time. Paving the road wrecked that lake.

Shan you are right about Apache but I wasn't gonna go there since he is in down town for work.
We have been going to Bartlett, six times in the last three weeks.Had great water every time. Of course that is during the week.

Bartlett is beautiful. For awhile it was full of ballers with huge boats (no offense to the ballers). Before that, it was great. Lots of "normal" boats (my perspective). I suppose the economy has corrected that too.

I really loved spending 3-4 days at SB cove. Good times.

I'm still making a trip back to spend a week at Apache. It's probably going to be next year now. That sucks. It used to be 45 minutes away.

Bottom line: given where he is, you're correct, Bartlett is the best choice.

bartlett is nice but it sucks too on the weekends it seems that every time i go to bartlett that as the day gets later, once you make the bend going south from sb cove towards the marina, the wind is horrible and its like a freakin ocean.

once again, if you want to have an all around stress free lake trip in your 18ft jet, i'd go during the week if possible.
