Default My recently purchased SKV Jet Boat

Just bought a 1971 SKV 20' Jet boat it has a 455 Olds with a Jacuzzi Jet Drive... I dont know a thing about jet drives but have been learning as much as I can. So far i have replaced my one crappy gas tank I had with two aluminum racing tanks equaling out to 23 Gallons, new gaskets for the motor, spark plugs, wires, valve covers, air cleaner, fuel filter, and cleaned the engine. Im about to deoxidize the hull with mothers products and finally polish her up. The boat looks great and cant wait to get her out in the water. Does anyone know a little history on the SKV. I know the SKV design was handed off to Hallet and that is all i know. Anyone else have an SKV if so id like to see it. Thanks any input would be appreciated.

These pictures show how i purchased it.

My brother has a 69' V-drive version of your boat, very heavy lay up hulls.

Check out the boat in my signature behind my Sanger it's a SKV built by Gene himself. They were a well built boat to last a life time
Need help finding this 1973 Sanger 18'6" bubble deck mahogany bottom and stringers I was living in Pomona when I sold her in 1979. Just wonder if she still exists

Update Found my old Sanger 12/7/14 in Reno.

A friend of mine Harold Hannemann at Hannemann Fiberglass knew Gene. He might be able to give you more info on the SKV. 626 969 7317
