Default Cat boat heading towards Sand Bar hits brick wall

I was on the North side of Havasu this past weekend (Saturday) to head towards sand bar. But I was coming from the California side of the Lake. So I slowed down and planned on following in behind a boat coming up the right side to start heading towards the narrows. We were still in big part of the Lake about 300 yards before it narrows and about 200 yards from the shore. (very dark water still)

The boat I was going to follow in looked to be doing about 60-70mph. Right before it got to me the boat instantly turned sidways shot a HUGE wave and flipped once. We drove right up to make sure everyone was okay. Luckily there was only two guys and both were fine. His boat was nose up and slowly sinking.

The driver told me he hit land which is a total shock to me as we were still a good 300 yards away from the opening and this is where all the boats cut through. On top of that the water was very dark right. Is there a possible underwater little mountain peak there? Anyone else wiped out there?

After seeing that Im not sure I'll ever take my family to sand bar or pirates again. 60 or 70 to 0 in an instant. I can't believe they were ok!!!

It was a blue boat with white interior. I never saw the make of the boat. Glad you guys were okay!!!
