    Default Stop The Mandatory PFD

The US Army Core of Engineers is quietly doing a “Life Jacket Study” and this year they have chosen a lake that I frequent Pine Flat Lake, Ca. From April 1st 2011 through October 31st 2011 all persons aboard a vessel will be required to wear a Life Jacket anytime the engine is running. From my understanding, this is the third and final test lake region, with previous studies conducted on the east coast and mid west, of which the USACE claims have had fairly positive results, but I’m not buying it! If this study goes well (without severe public complaint) they will implement this mandatory wear of life vests on all USACE controlled lakes in the nation!

Please take a minute to send you thoughts to the park manager, congress and the senators at: BoatUS.com: Government Affairs -- New Life Jacket Rule at Pine Flat Lake, California

money's low at all government agencies. some hefty fines are very helpful for beefing up funds.

You show em. Stand up for your rights. Just like that dude that was riding his motor bike with out a helmet. His protest went fine. He's dead, the helmet would have saved him. Guess his insurance company won't be paying out on that one. Be my guest and protest away.

So you are probably in favor of the cell phone laws we now have California. Which from ever study I have read or heard about has not lowered the amount of traffic accidents at all. It has however made the state a crap load of money. If someone is drive reckless there are a number of tickets a Leo can issue we did not need one more. I am getting tired of the government telling me how to live my life. If it keeps going the this way you won't be able to do anything a little risky because you will be fined and in my opinion that sucks.

Anyone hearing radio commercials that imply PFDs are mandatory? Talk about FUD. If they keep telling that lie, everyone will soon begin to buy into it. Hearing the commercials a lot in So Cal.

good life line may save your life in a fast boat and if anything it might give your family a body if you did get killed on the way out of your boat. I have read about to may boat accident's that the body did not come back up after the wreck and they had to search for day's trying to find the missing driver
