Default Alcohol and overnighting on Lake Mead

We are moving to Vegas later this year. We boat on Puget Sound where we anchor overnight and have cocktails and enjoy the company of other boaters. Alcohol is illegal on all the fresh water lakes here, so we don't bother going to any.

Is alcohol legal on Lake Mead (assuming you are at anchor and not underway)?
Is it legal to overnight in the boat on Lake Mead?

How long is the season down there? We have a heater and full isenglas for our boat to extend the season up here...

    Thanx!

P.S. We're currently looking at houses in Summerlin; any other neighborhoods we should consider or avoid? I've been told not to go east of Durango Drive...
