    Default Jordanelle Lake in Utah??

Living in Phoenix most people get a place up north along the rim or in Flagstaff or etc. We are considering another place in the Park City/Oakley area of Utah. I know Jordanelle is a new lake but i'm curious how it is for boating. We are used to Apache and Canyon lake here and I know Jordanelle is bigger than Apache and smaller than Roosevelt. Is the water cold most of the summer? Do they allow v-drive cruiser type boats on there? Flatbottom with headers? Anyone been on the lake?

Jordanelle gets busy on the weekends like most but you have several other lakes close by. we have fish cops that don't like the
noise like most places but your welcome to play with us and our junk.

Jordanelle is ok and is like most lakes in Utah with good water in the morning and evenings. I had a Nordic Heat and was never bothered by fish cops. I like a lake just down the hill from Jordanelle called Deer Creek personally.

I agree with Dearden, Jordanelle limits the number of boats to when you couldn't fit another one on the lake. I got harassed by a fish cop there with my old Eliminator years ago. Nobody bothers me with this one now. Deer creek is much better.

Deer creek is ok....wind has a tendency to blow up the canyon. Deer creek,echo,rockport,jordanell,...they are all a little to small for me unless its a way off/empty weekend. I guess if it was closer to me than utah lake....I would probably boat there more often.

Do you own a 6/5/4 wet suit? I sold a master-planned community immediately South of the reservoir that has yet to be developed and every time we visited the site we needed frost gear.

Man, the last time I was at Echo my boat got beat up by all the wake makers tearing up the lake, one boat almost ran over my son on the tube, and the fish cops harassed us.

I guess I'm one of the yuppies then because I go to Utah Lake out of Lindon or American Fork. No cops to hassle you. We've gone out of Provo and not been harassed until we were on the trailer after day two, but that was with our friends form Nor Cal who had brought a blown Placecraft without baffles. Unless it's a holiday weekend, you can go out on Sunday and not run into anyone!!

I've always wanted to try Yuba. I hear you have to pick the weekend due to wind, but I hear it's nice!

Jordanelle does get crowded a lot, it is a great lake to fish at and drag a tube around. You have to get there early on the weekend or you don't get on the water because they limit the boats. Lots of lakes in Utah that are close if you get a place in Park City area. I am one of the Utah Lake "yuppys" But the best thing about UL is it is HUGE and last year we have had Sandy Beach to ourselves EVERY trip (at least 20) Hope you get a nice vacation home and it would be cool to share some Lake Time with ya.

Where's White Sands UD? You need to come down to Utah Lake when the Nor Cal guys come out. I think they're planning on being here to watch the Poker Run on UL.

Thanks again for the bell housing!!
