    do jet a way ratchets take a special kind of oil? mine is low and i was wondering about what to put in it.

    Magoo,

    There are lots of various lubes folks have used over time. When the Jetaway was designed, Duane worked with lubricant engineers and had an oil specially formulated for the dogs, bearings, load, low foaming, etc. HTP sells the lube at a reasonable cost and it is the only lube that can be used during the warranty period. It is easy to order it from their website or just pick up the phone and give Duane a call.

    There is a thread on this site where there is a long discussion on the proper lube and it all points back to the HTP product.

    I've got a Dons and I think we put ATF in it .. Is that ok Gear ??

    I have a bottle that is not full that I can bring to Twok for you just let me know! It is my top off bottle!

    TN, I have heard that HD trans (primary) oil will work ok but still not the best!

    I know a few guys that use a Redline Shockproof gear oil from Summit, its red too, i have only had Hi-tech stuff in mine, but i do have the redline stuff in case i run out in a pinch.
