    Default 1987 tx-19 questions

Does anyone reconize this boat? It looks like one I have seen before in oklahoma or texas area. Is this a strong boat? Any history? Thanks for the help.

That boat has been around the block a time or two. The history of it that I know is that tom, impatient1 on the boards had it for a few years had it running strong. I bought it from him in late 08 gave it a facelift and a trailer and ran/raced it for 2-3 yrs. I sold it in 2011 to widetrack who got the trailer. Bam bam bought it from him, put in the pump it has now, and built the trailer it is on now. He sold it to robert1 I believe here on the boards. It swapped hands one or two more times and now it resides out west. When I sold it I pulled the pump motor nos and electronics. Bam bam had a mild bbc in it. I don't remember what tom had it running, but the most I got out of it was 101. But I wasn't spraying as much as he used to, plus I made a few pump changes that probably cost me a mph or two. It was a fun boat, it was clean enough to look nice, and old enough that I wasn't afraid to use it as a lake/river boat!

What is the layup on the boat, give or take. U want one that's a good river weight. I dont plan on racing fulltime with the boat. Only occasional runs with buddies at the river. I have a really light daytona 19 that isnt as river friendly for me and what I want to do.

I own the sister boat to that machine. Both layed up by Capps.

I talked to him and he said mines kinda different, its a light layup but with 2x6 stringers and a skilocker. You can feel it in rough stuff.

I run the shit out of my boat. Its been to the lake 6 times so far this year. I get lots of looks and compliments too.

Mine has some fast history also, it still has a NOS plaque and a boost gauge.

The deck was plenty sturdy. I weigh around 275, and I had walked close to the edge before with no cracking sounds. The sides were kinda thin, you could push them in. Stringers were solid when I had it, had a 1/2" transom. I used it on rough water, and at the track. It wasn't in perfect condition, but if u want to "use" a good quick boat instead of babysitting it, it was perfect. All the gauges, shifter, pedal, steering was all installed in 09, the rubrail was new in '10. Trailer that bam bam built was basically new in '12 if I remember right. It was a good boat when I saw it last,

Yep my old gwing like josh said.best i could get outta it was 107-108 with a ton of shoe/loader and alottt of nitrous.i never could get the pump to load well over 100 so i pulled the deep loader and shoe out and just ran it safely.its a good boat if you plan on 100 or less.josh had it looking the best when he had it, did a very nice facelift to it.

Dare to be different, if it turns out great you can claim you planned it that way.

What's a ton of shoe? Below the keel? How much HP?
    Just curious.
