    Default Pump bowls

What's the difference between the different types of bowls? Tint has an Aggressor 9 vane. What's the difference between that and your garden variety Berkeley or Dominator? I believe I have a Dom all the way 'round. Aren't they the preferred of the "old-school" because of a stepped or shouldered impeller?

    Someone enlighten me...

    Seaweed? What do I have?

I guess our smileys arent working-i'll have to report that to the maintenance dept.

I am still a student at this but besides being longer as Scott said I understand that the 9 vane flows more water. Just to look at the two side by side you can see that makes perfect sense.

each bowl has a different amount it can flow, aggressor flowing the highest, dominator/amt next, then the converted c-bowl splitbowl, then the basic ole berk splitbowl.if you're having loading issues and cant maintain good intake pressure, goin to a higher flowing bowl will only make it worse, so on.

Dare to be different, if it turns out great you can claim you planned it that way.

And one day I'll buy a nice Aggressor 9 vane.. And a big 9.5" high-helix to stuff it with. One day.

you have new style amt/dominator bowl cut for a 9.5" impeller. The new amt/dominator bowls are bout an inch longer than the old style ones. They will accept impellers with the rear shoulder but its not necessary to have it for them to perform good.Shoulders and stuffers are good but only in the since that they make pressure quicker by making the cavity smaller. Tom is right about the loading issue but in my 20+ years of trying every kind of bowl I cant actually prove that 1 is better than the other. Most naturally aspirated drag racers prefer the Berkely g bowl.I know ive opened up a can of worms but hopefully this helps.

Eh. I guess. Basically I guess it's all about the setup. Guess we can do more testing when spring rolls around!
