Just drove by the new Lucas facility at Wheatland and it is going to be something!

I took two routes in to get an idea of how folks from my part of the country (from Central Arkansas) might want to go. I initially went in on 65 to I-44. Went West on 44 to 13. North on 13 to hwy 54 at Collins, took 54 15 miles into Wheatland. It does look a bit shorter breaking off hwy 13 at Bolivar, but that whole road is 25 miles to Wheatland and two-lane with NO SHOULDER. This pic is for all you Toter-home and Dually types taking large haulers up with you...it's on Hwy 83. Also, you have to make a couple of immediate left and right turns downtown Bolivar.

It's a much better pull for those of you with large trailers to just go on up 13 a bit further to Collins and take 54 on in.

Here's a shot of the starting line...sorry the pic isn't so good...done with a phone camera.

Good luck to all that show up! Sure to be a good time!

Circle track racing Saturday night too...ON DIRT.

dude, did you just feel like makin a road trip or somethin? I am so ready for Wheatland, may not do woth a shit, but it is gonna be awesome being there for the first race. Hopefully we can all get some pit spots close to each other. What are you taking to stay in when you go? My inlaws are coming with us bringing their camper, and Keith (a douche bag lurker, that dont add to the forum at all hint hint) will be bringing his white and purple cheyenne for its first race and his dad is bringin his big RV. I am so ready for this race, or just the experience, it is almost like the first time i got to see tits. well not quite, but almost!!:D

Harley!

Kristen bought herself a toy! 1975 Harley Davidson 3-wheeled golf cart! I had to get it in Kansas City, MO, and Wheatland was only 15 miles off hwy 13, which I took there so I kinda HAD to go see the new facility! There's enough room for Waaaaay more teams than I've ever seen at a race! There's three or four out ramps on the right side and the two on each end are wide enough for about 6 vehicles per side. There's an in ramp on each side and one right behind the starting platform (no barge). If they have their shit together, the rounds won't be held up by congestion at the out ramps! What will I bring? Beer. Water. Food. Beer. Friends camper and probably some beer. Couple of canopies, some chairs and maybe some more beer. Grill. Some beer.
