    Default dyno day

    well yesterday was the day!

OMG what a day fo sho!

i want to start off by thanking a few.
    my ole man
    Tiger(Scott Sea)
    Gearhead(Steven Smith)
    Piazza.

without Tiger and Gear i would have been in some real troublethey worked there Asses off for me

they were like Mad scientist trying to figure out what was going on with the motor and why it was down on power!

they worked for about 4.5 hours non stop on the thing that morning before luch break and not gaining much of anything

finally they locked the distributor out and took all the power valves out.

then we went and ate lunch(thanks for Buying Tiger you broke the cycle).

when we got back i was in a better mood as was everyone else, they started gaining and gaining and Dad was being quit funnymaking me laugh so i wouldnt be so down

i have nothing to hide or care to these are true #s not inflated or any other BS
after many many hard hours these guys put in this is where we stopped as everything after this point was going down hill.

Corrected HP 881.1 @6600-TQ [email protected]
UNcorrected HP was [email protected] [email protected]

these #s are what they are.am i disappointed HELL YES

    but Thats Normal!!!

they had to play with the cam Lash and Timing of the cam(retarded it) some,im not happy about that for a Custom Ground cam.

    but shit happens.

Gear and Tiger say i have very respectable #s and maybe i do.
im sure my boat will run extremely good with this motor and for a fact go faster than i care to anyway

thats not the point i have a ton invested in something that let me down imo.

ill stop bitching and go back to thanking!!!

thanks again Gear and Tiger without you 2 i would be screwed.
Tiger built one hell of a motor b/c it held together after many abusive runs and got better and better.

i have some pics of it on the dyno i will try to get off my phone later.

Well those numbers don't sound bad to me, what were you expecting or hoping for Travis? 845hp observed and 881hp corrected isn't anything to be ashamed of.

    Default Dyno

Hey Travis enjoyed hangin out yesterday with you, bill, scott and gear.

I always learn something hangin around gears place I think you'll be very

happy once you set that motor in your boat and put a foot in it and you

know now that a simple cam swap would put you over the 900 mark..........

but thats all number the boats the real dyno later, Ryan

That is for sure!! Man I do not have the power you guys have and I too was disappointed at my dyno results.

I was aiming for 650HP and ended up with less than that. My pile runs way better than i thought it would with the power i have.

I am running solid high 80's possibly low 90's with less than 600 hp in a heavy vee.

The dyno was a good indicator of what was going on in the motor but had no bearing on the real dyno.

As you already know that fine sled you have will fly with almost 900HP...
