He said he was playing with the guy. Let him leave and blew by pretty hard. I need to teach him a little more class. If he has a race won don't kill the guy too bad. Unless he has been running his mouth lol. And this guy wasnt.

But we didnt line up with James or Adam. :p

That black TX-19 ran pretty good if I remember right

I think Info Jr purdy much spanked every one that hit the lanes and enjoyed every minute of it. :D He done a fine job of dishing out humility. :|err glad mine wasn't running good enough to try. I dont think I could have taken it. Damn good job Jr. :)hand

This was a white one. I think he raced pretty much everyone there lol

Ron, that jet leaves hard...toying with the guy or not. I just watched the videos (finally).... Jr. great driving job!

I still can" believe nobody has bought that hull. Is it the cav plate that makes it take such a good set?

Actually yes the pedal in the boat is what makes it leave hard. The cav plates ride plate and nozzle go up and down with the pedal.

If you look at the other boat the nose raises as it leaves just like any boat. Info Jr flat foots it from a dead stop and the bow barely moves. We are used to watching it but just as you can see his roost in the video the tail starts to rise. This is him coming off the pedal.

We evolved the boat during the year to do that. Because if we set the ride plate to carry the nose it would bounce too many times out of the hole. if we set the hardware to leave well it wouldnt carry the nose. So we pretty much had to make it function that way.

But we learned a lot that we can apply to another boat one of these days. A newer hull and newer technology. And.. we have only advertised the boat here. Most folks here are on the west coast. We will try a little harder to sell it after the first of the year. We had fun all year and we were racing one of the slower classes in SDBA

I'm hoping more V-drives are able to make it in 2010. Just seemed like a bad year with everybody ride tearing up. Magoo, Jetter (ummm v-drivererrr), Carny, RFBR and Chopper D, dont let the jet boat guys have all the fun.

I was glad to see a few outboard guys show up too, getting to be more and more. I know Mississippi says he's gonna strap a 2.5l, and a prop to run 1000ft on that yellow tunnel for next years Bash.

Just droped in to wish everyone a happy thanksgiving:)hand

Club Update

Hey guys, I just wanted to update everyone on some club news,

This past weekend the club participated in the Okmulgee Festival of Lights Christmas parade. I think it pretty good considering the short time we had to prepare and I would like to thank everyone that braved the 24 degree temps to come out and show their support. We had 3 boats in the parade, Robert had his flatbottom decorated up with lights and elves, Tommy had the "Uncle Tom's Cabin" loaded with kids and club members and decorated up. It had to be the warmest place on the parade route. Last but not least Adam brought down the hydro. I was pretty impressive when we got to the judges booth and lit the flatty and the hydro off. I drove down main street Sunday morning just to make sure all of the windows were still intact. Thanks to all for your support I hope that I dont get a nasty graham from the chamber non-inviting us next year. Great idea Robert! I hope it will become a tradition.

We are still working on Tee shirt ads. As of now we have 3-4 sold, with 2 spots remaining. Once this is done we need to get hot and heavy on getting the Tee's made. So start thinkin about ideas! The 1st Wednesday in Feburary will be here before you know it. Lets hit the ground running in 2010.

Lastly, a few weeks ago the other officers of the club and myself had a sit down meeting with the director of Okmulgee State Park and a representative of the Friends of the Park. And to be honest (not to cause an alarm) but the state didnt seem interested in letting us have the boat bash in 2010. The reason for this was low spectator turn out, and the fact that it seemed (to them) that it was just an excuse to have a big party and close down the lake. After some give and take I believe that we are on for 2010. The bottom line that came out of this meeting was involvement, they want to see a much larger event, in terms of spectators. That means "WE" as boaters and boat lovers need to start spreading the word to our non-boating friends. We need to get people excited about coming out to watch what we all saw last year. The director said he would rather have to deal with being overwhelmed by people (spectators) than what he called underwhelmed. There have already been several great ideas brought to the table to meet the states concerns and by the end of the meeting we were in agreence that the first weekend in August we will have the Boat bash. The officers and myself do have another meeting with the director and his staff after the holidays just to confirm. I will post the results of that meeting then.

Keep your feet warm, and the beer cold!

Jeff
